Word for the Day: Entrepreneurship

My wanderlust (see last blog post) prompted me to seek out new places to venture and explore. Yesterday, I was invited by a friend to check out the Pop Bazaar. It was in a place I had never explored alone, even visited... I had to go and dive into the place that was still a mystery to me - the jungles of A.S Fortuna in Mandaue.

Five jeepney rides and two and a half hours of travel later, I found myself at Oakridge, where the Pop Bazaar was being held. After being initially dazzled by all of the local goods that were being showcased and shown, I finally stumbled across suwhat; the stall I had been looking for in the first place.

I wish I had noticed this was blurry before leaving. Ugh.
The creative minds behind Suwhat create notebooks that are not just your ordinary notebooks, and also describe themselves as "(n.) a non-fictional character that sells handmade notebooks". I'm sure most people have a hard time finding the right notebook - Don't look at me like that; there are people like that. Anyway, especially when you're a fan of Harry Potter, Divergent, Game of Thrones and more, it's hard to find notebooks that aren't simple generic designs of specific characters. Suwhat notebooks raise the bar with their lovely notebooks. Whether you're a Stark or a Lannister, a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin, there are sure to be notebooks for you.

This is just the aftermath; a mere four hours, I think? since they opened their stall at the Pop Bazaar. Not shown in the pictures are their Hogwarts House notebooks (I'll post a picture of mine, later ) since they ran out /just/ before I got there. Lucky I ordered one beforehand.

Isn't it beautiful?! (PS I have miniature hands; that notebooks actually bigger than it looks)
Suwhat offers lovely notebooks at lovely prices with lovely designs. They have smaller, cuter notebooks at a lesser price, (again, pictures later) and even the regular-sized and larger notebooks are still affordable and student-friendly. (Cough cough journals for sale at like four hundred pesos at leading bookstores cough cough) The unruled pages give you the freedom to write, draw, sketch, or do whatever to your little notebook. One can't help but want to buy more and more and more of these notebooks, and will stay tuned for more designs. New designs, by the way, mostly come every month.

My purchases - Slytherin Notebook, YouTube & Ravenclaw mini-notebooks. Wish I could have grabbed the Batman one.
I was amazed at the creativity that is Suwhat, and the rest of the hubbub that kept a very lively atmosphere buzzing around the Pop Bazaar. Most of the young entrepreneurs I saw yesterday were just that - young. There was a time when the youth didn't think much about businesses and selling things; those times have changed, and for the better, of course.

As I am currently looking for a steady stream of income, I think I've found some inspiration. Maybe I'll start knitting bikinis. Welp.

PS: People, you can check out Suw(h)at's Facebook here, where you can find the links to their Instagram pages and official website, where you can fill up order forms and buy their products.
